BAJO LA SOMBRA

En los parques y jardines de las ciudades rurales, la sombra de los árboles crea un espacio inesperado y acogedor. Aquí se desarrollan actividades recreativas, deportivas, festivales o simplemente el ocio y la contemplación. Como dice el poeta, "la vida estaba allí: bajo los árboles". En las instalaciones del Sesc Thermas en Presidente Prudente, se construye este lugar de encuentro pausado, lleno de pequeñas alegrías. Así, se imaginan actividades distribuidas sobre una base mineral libre y porosa, bajo una cubierta regular y modular que se eleva hasta la copa de los árboles circundantes, compartiendo - edificio y parque - una zona de sombra común.

UNDER THE SHADE

In the parks and gardens of rural cities, the shade of the trees creates an unexpected and welcoming space. Here, recreational and sports activities, festivals, or simply leisure and contemplation take place. As the poet says, “life was there: under the trees.” At the Sesc Thermas facilities in Presidente Prudente, this place of unhurried gathering, full of small joys, is built. Thus, activities are envisioned as being distributed over a free and porous mineral base, beneath a regular, modular canopy that rises up to the crowns of the surrounding trees, allowing the building and the park to share a common shaded area.
